How Vaxol® works
Pharmaceutical-grade olive oil
Vaxol is a simple and effective treatment to remove earwax and moisturize dry ear canals. With pharmaceutical-grade olive oil, Vaxol works in a natural way and in harmony with the ear’s own cleaning mechanism.
Olive oil is clinically proven to effectively moisturize dry skin, which can reduce symptoms such as itching and irritation. Olive oil has anti-inflammatory properties and contains antioxidants such as polyphenols with antibacterial effects.
Fat dissolves fat
Vaxol follows the principle “fat dissolves fat” to soften earwax, while moisturizing and lubricating the skin of the ear canal. This double-acting effect not only contributes to cleaner ears, but also relieves itching and irritation.

Protective barrier
When you use Vaxol, a protective barrier is created on the skin in the ear canal, which reduces the risk of water entering the ear and causing problems.
Frequent exposure to water can increase the risk of ear canal inflammation, also known as swimmer’s ear, and cause itching and irritation. Vaxol helps prevent these common ear problems by offering effective protection.

Vaxol® and MDR
European authorities have identified a need to tighten regulations regarding medical devices. As a result, a new regulatory framework has been established within the EU, MDR (Medical Device Regulation).
MDR raises the standards for medical devices and ensures that the product is thoroughly tested and documented, aiming to reduce the risk of complications. The regulation also requires continuous monitoring and control of products to guarantee high quality and safety in use.
Vaxol has undergone the MDR process and is approved as one of the first ear products. The implementation of the package leaflet and packaging will occur gradually.
